How it Works

The Daily Challenge

Every day we publish a challenge related to IFC and OpenBIM. The challenge presents a situation, a question, and four answer options. Only one is correct.

Who Can Play?

Anyone can answer the daily challenge without registering. If you sign up, you can save your results, view the full solution, and appear on the leaderboard.

Scoring

Each correct answer is worth 10 points. Registered users can retry, but each incorrect attempt deducts 15% of the base score, down to a minimum of 0 points. You can only earn points once per challenge.

Leaderboard

The main leaderboard is monthly, so new users can compete from the moment they join. There is also an all-time leaderboard with points accumulated since the beginning.

Tiebreaker Criteria

1. Highest number of correct answers
2. Highest accuracy percentage
3. Highest number of challenges answered
4. Earliest time the score was reached

Solution

The full solution, with a reasoned explanation of each option and technical references, is available to registered users who have answered the challenge.

Learning

Our goal is for you to learn about the IFC schema in an enjoyable way. Each challenge includes technical references so you can expand your knowledge. Response time does not affect scoring; we care more about learning than speed.
